FRONT-END DEVELOPER

GMATICS is a SME born in 2017 that integrates satellite monitoring, aerial/drone surveys, geo-spatial databases, and Artificial Intelligence, to create digital models of reality (Digital Twins) for improving the management of cities and critical infrastructures (transport, energy, TLC) and addressing the effects of climate change underway. We are searching for a mission-oriented Front-end Developer to join our forward-thinking, innovative team of developers and entrepreneurs.

Do you love building beautiful web applications that solve real-world problems? Do you like maps and charts?

In this role, you will develop systems with intuitive interfaces that will control complex analysis tools and provide data-rich visualizations across various challenging geospatial problems. We value your potential to learn new skills more than the skills you currently possess!

Responsibilities (chiarire meglio, non sono abilities)

• Evaluate and improve current and future UI/UX.

• Communicate clearly with technical team members, maintaining openness to multiple viewpoints

• Quickly learn new tools and paradigms and put them to work

• Support maintainability through testing, dependency management, and repeatable builds

Required

• Good knowledge of HTTP, REST, JSON, and modern HTML5/CSS3 web technologies

• Experience with React (preferred) or other web client frameworks (such as Vue, Angular, etc.)

• Ability to interpret use cases, wireframes, and mockups

• Passion for quality and an optimal user experience

• Willingness to learn the concepts of earth observation

• Self-initiative

• ​Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desired

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science

• Experience with mapping tools like Mapbox GL.

• Exposure to best practices in deployment automation, web security, containerization, microservices architectures, and cloud computing services is a plus
