municipalities with the possibility of using the webGIS HUGS
platform or integration into their systems
Up-to-date information on the arboreal heritage throughout the
municipal territory
Continuous monitoring of the state of health of trees and their
water needs
Continuous monitoring of the ability to mitigate harmful effects
on the well-being and health of citizens (e.g. pollution, heat
waves)
Support to the design of public green areas with a priori analysis
of the benefits obtainable
Simplicity of updating information in municipal databases,
drastically reducing operational difficulties
These aspects will be expressed and synthesized through green
indicators, specifically designed for a rapid and optimal control of
the current condition of urban greenery and of the variations that
have occurred between different periods (eg before-after new
planting)
